The Income Tax is the elegant upgrade of the Bronx: gin, two types of vermouth and fresh orange juice, rounded off with a dash of Angostura. A fruity, aromatic aperitif from the Prohibition era that, despite its dry name, tastes wonderfully approachable.
Instructions
- Add the gin, both vermouths and the orange juice to a shaker.
- Add the dashes of Angostura.
- Top up with ice cubes and shake vigorously.
- Strain into a prechilled coupe.
- Garnish with an orange zest and serve.
