White Negroni

The White Negroni is the elegant, light sister of the Italian classic: gin, the bitter gentian liqueur Suze and floral Lillet Blanc create a fascinating play of sweetness and bitterness. Lighter in color, but just as complex in taste. A modern aperitif for lovers of bittersweet drinks.

- Fill a tumbler with ice cubes.
- Add gin, Suze and Lillet Blanc in equal parts to the glass.
- Stir cold with the bar spoon for about 20 seconds.
- Express a lemon twist over the glass.
- Drop the twist into the glass as a garnish and serve.

Frequently asked questions
What distinguishes the White Negroni from the classic Negroni?
Instead of Campari and sweet vermouth, the White Negroni uses the yellow gentian liqueur Suze and Lillet Blanc, which makes the drink lighter and more floral.
Who invented the White Negroni?
The White Negroni was created in 2001 by British bartender Wayne Collins in France, when he reinterpreted the classic Negroni with local ingredients.
Can I replace Suze with something else?
Other gentian liqueurs such as Salers work similarly. They are not identical, however, and slightly change the aroma.
