How to make a Negroni - the bittersweet Italian aperitif classic of gin, Campari and sweet vermouth. Simple equal-parts IBA recipe.
The Negroni is the icon of bitter aperitifs: three ingredients in equal parts, perfectly balanced between juniper-spiced gin, bitter Campari and sweet vermouth. Its bold color and unmistakable taste make it a favorite of bartenders worldwide. A true classic that never goes out of style.
Instructions
- Fill a tumbler with ice cubes.
- Add gin, Campari and sweet vermouth in equal parts to the glass.
- Stir cold with a bar spoon for about 20 seconds.
- Express an orange peel over the glass.
- Drop the peel into the glass as a garnish and serve.
