The Royal Fizz is the most opulent variation in the Fizz family, as it is made with a whole egg. It thereby combines the silky creaminess of the Golden Fizz with the airy foam crown of the Silver Fizz. Gin, fresh lemon juice and sparkling soda round off the full-bodied drink.

Instructions

  1. Add gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup and the whole egg to the shaker.
  2. First shake hard without ice (dry shake).
  3. Add ice cubes and shake again for about 15 seconds.
  4. Strain into a highball glass and top up with soda.
  5. Garnish with a lemon slice and serve.

Garnish: Lemon slice

Pro tip: Since a whole egg is used, a thorough dry shake is especially important so that egg white and yolk emulsify perfectly.
