The Golden Fizz is the golden-yellow sister of the Silver Fizz and is prepared with egg yolk instead of egg white. The egg yolk makes the drink especially creamy, silky and full in flavor. Gin, fresh lemon juice and sparkling soda form the refreshing base.

Instructions

  1. Add the gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup and egg yolk to the shaker.
  2. First shake vigorously without ice (dry shake).
  3. Add ice cubes and shake again for about 15 seconds.
  4. Strain into a highball glass and top up with soda.
  5. Garnish with a lemon slice and serve.

Garnish: Lemon slice

Pro tip: Shake the drink especially long and vigorously so the egg yolk fully emulsifies and the texture turns silky.
