The El Burro is the Caribbean version of the mule: dark rum, spicy falernum, fresh lime and fizzy ginger beer. An aromatic, slightly exotic longdrink with more depth than its Russian cousin.
Instructions
- Fill a copper mug or a highball glass with ice cubes.
- Add rum, lime juice and falernum.
- Fill up with cold ginger beer.
- Stir briefly.
- Garnish with a lime wedge and mint sprig and serve.
Garnish: Lime wedge and mint sprig
Pro tip: The falernum brings clove, almond and lime into play - if you do not have any, replace it with a little sugar syrup and a pinch of clove.
