Frequently asked questions
Why is the drink called the Bacardi Cocktail of all things?
A US court ruled in 1936 that this cocktail may only carry that name when made with real Bacardi rum - one of the most famous brand rulings in cocktail history.
What sets it apart from the Daiquiri?
The Bacardi Cocktail is basically a Daiquiri with a splash of grenadine, which gives it its pink colour and a fruity sweetness.
Can I use another white rum?
In terms of taste yes, but then you shouldn't call it a Bacardi Cocktail any more. With another rum it is simply a Daiquiri variation.
