Frequently asked questions
What is rhum agricole?
Rhum agricole is distilled in the French Antilles from fresh sugar cane juice and has a noticeably grassier, fresher aroma than rum made from molasses.
Is the Ti Punch served with ice?
Traditionally it is drunk at room temperature or with just a single ice cube, so the characterful rhum does not get watered down too much.
What can I replace the cane sugar syrup with?
Classically sirop de canne is used, but some prefer brown cane sugar dissolved directly in the glass.
