Frequently asked questions
Which whisky is suitable for a Scotch and Soda?
A mild blended Scotch works best, as its aromas are pleasantly opened up by the soda.
What is the right mixing ratio?
Usually about one part whisky to two or three parts soda - this can be adjusted to taste.
Why soda water and not tonic?
Soda water is neutral in taste and keeps the whisky aroma in the foreground, whereas tonic with its bitterness would dominate.
