How to make a Saturn - the exotic tiki cocktail of gin, passion fruit, lemon, falernum and orgeat. Fruity, complex and wonderfully tropical.
The Saturn is a rare tiki classic that unusually is based on gin instead of rum. Passion fruit, falernum and orgeat give it a complex, tropical sweetness balanced by fresh lemon juice. A fruity exotic drink for bold cocktail lovers.
Instructions
- Add gin, lemon juice, passion fruit syrup, falernum and orgeat to a blender.
- Add a handful of crushed ice.
- Blend briefly for about 5 seconds (flash blend).
- Pour into a coupe.
- Garnish with a spiral-cut lemon zest and serve.

What is falernum?

Can I also prepare the Saturn shaken?
Yes, alternatively it can be shaken with ice in a shaker and strained over crushed ice. The flash blend, however, brings the finest texture.
