The Nacional is an elegant Cuban rum cocktail from the legendary Hotel Nacional de Cuba. Apricot liqueur and pineapple give it a fine, balanced fruit. An underrated classic of Havana bar culture.

Instructions

  1. Add rum, apricot liqueur, pineapple juice and lime juice to the shaker.
  2. Add plenty of ice cubes.
  3. Shake hard for about 12 seconds.
  4. Double-strain into a pre-chilled coupe.
  5. Garnish with a lime zest and serve.
