Frequently asked questions
What is the egg white in the Gin Sour for?
The egg white creates a velvety foam crown and gives the drink a creamy texture. It is optional but makes the Sour especially elegant.
What is the dry shake?
For the dry shake the drink is first shaken without ice so the egg white emulsifies well. Only then comes the shake with ice.
How does the Gin Sour differ from the Whiskey Sour?
The preparation is identical, only the base spirit differs. The Gin Sour is fresher and more herbal, the Whiskey Sour warmer and rounder.
