How to make Christmas Punch - the aromatic winter punch of red wine, rum, oranges and Christmas spices. Warms from within and fills the house with fragrance.
Christmas Punch is the epitome of cozy winter evenings: red wine, dark rum and a bouquet of cinnamon, cloves and orange melt into a warming drink. The aroma alone already spreads anticipation for the holidays. Perfect for the whole group on an Advent evening or at the local Christmas market.
Instructions
- Put the red wine with the juice of the oranges and the brown sugar into a pot.
- Add cinnamon sticks, cloves and a little orange peel.
- Heat everything slowly without letting it boil.
- Let it steep over low heat for about 15 minutes.
- Add the rum and warm briefly.
- Strain through a sieve into mugs and serve.
