Frequently asked questions
What defines an Italian Coffee?
The amaretto gives the coffee a characteristic almond and marzipan note that sets it apart from Irish Coffee.
Which amaretto is suitable?
A classic Italian amaretto like Disaronno is ideal, as its balanced sweetness does not overpower the coffee.
How does the cream stay floating on top?
Whip the cream only until half-stiff and pour it slowly over the back of a bar spoon - this way it stays on top as a cap.
