How to make a Fog Cutter - the strong Tiki classic by Trader Vic made from rum, cognac and gin, crowned with a splash of sherry.
The Fog Cutter is one of the strongest Tiki classics to come from Trader Vic: rum, cognac and gin meet citrus and almond syrup. Crowned with a float of dry sherry, it is fruity, complex and not to be underestimated. A drink that thickens the fog in your head rather than clearing it.
Instructions
- Add rum, cognac, gin, orange juice, lemon juice and orgeat to a shaker.
- Fill with ice cubes and shake vigorously.
- Strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice.
- Carefully float a splash of dry sherry on top.
- Garnish with a mint sprig and a cocktail cherry and serve.
