The Deshler is an elegant, almost forgotten classic from the era before Prohibition. Rye whiskey and the fruity aperitif wine Dubonnet form a harmonious duo, rounded off by orange liqueur and bitters. An accessible, aromatic stirred drink with a citrus accent.
Instructions
- Pre-chill a coupe.
- Add rye whiskey, Dubonnet, orange liqueur and bitters to a mixing glass with ice.
- Stir cold for about 20 seconds.
- Strain into the pre-chilled coupe.
- Express the orange and lemon zest over the glass and add as a garnish.
