How to make Mulled Cider - the hot spiced cider of apple wine with cinnamon, cloves and orange. A warming autumn and winter punch.
Mulled Cider is the fruity answer to mulled wine: hot apple wine, gently spiced with cinnamon, cloves, star anise and orange. Honey rounds off the warm sweetness and makes it the perfect companion on cool autumn and winter evenings. Quick to make and wonderfully warming.
Instructions
- Pour the apple wine into a pot and heat slowly.
- Add cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise and orange slices.
- Stir in the honey and let everything steep gently for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Strain out the spices.
- Pour into pre-warmed glasses and garnish with an orange slice and cinnamon stick.
