The Flatliner is an adrenaline shot for the brave: sweet Sambuca, neutral tequila and a line of Tabasco that looks like a flat ECG. It starts gentle and ends with a powerful wave of heat.

Instructions

  1. Pour the Sambuca into the shot glass first.
  2. Slowly layer the tequila over the back of a bar spoon.
  3. Add the Tabasco drops as a line down the middle of the surface.
  4. Let the layers settle briefly.
  5. Drink the shot in one go.
